My baby all grown up and off to fight in a war

I think that's a quote from MULAN. But maybe not. So, Isaac and Makayla are off to school. I feel like the summer went by way too fast and that Isaac is simply still my baby and not old enough to be a kindergartner. I had a harder time leaving him than I did Makayla last year. It might be because Makayla was almost a year older when she started kindergarten or maybe it's because she is a girl and more mature. Maybe it's because she was my first and got so much of my attention and one on one teaching. (or maybe I just love him more J/K) Anyways, I teared out leaving him Monday morning and I teared up at lunch when I went up to the school to eat lunch with them both, and than I really teared up when I was driving away at lunch and happened to catch his class running out to recess. Oh he is soooo cute.

Monday morning he was pretty quiet and than started asking Makayla little questions like "will I get to sit by you sissy?" "Makayla, where will I put my backpack and lunch?" etc. It was so cute. You could see his little brain trying to figure out how the day was going to go and realizing he didn't quite know what to do.

I'm home now with just Jackson. It's so great. I'd better start keeping my house cleaner than it was this summer. ugh it was so hard to keep up with all my munchkinz this summer.

Isaac has his first baseball practice tomorrow. I'm so excited for games to start. I'm a little nervous. He has two games a week and than one practice a week that's a lot of baseball. And trying to keep up with homework for two kids now.

I'm going to try and find an art class to put Makayla is this fall. She has a little friend that wants to do one too. So, maybe we can carpool:)

Let me know if you find an art class! Anna really wants to take art, and I can't find anything that fits her schedule!

Isaac looks so grown up and handsome with his back pack! Those 5 years went soooo fast. Makayla is beautiful. Look at those cute shoes! I miss the kids. Give them my love with a hug and kiss! Happy School year!

All three of those are great shots of your kids!! I guess genuine excitment goes a long way over forced smiles. I just looked at a picture of Isaac at about 10 months old and he was the CUTEST!!! He looks exactly the same just shrunken!

I teared up too when I was reading. I can't believe you have 2 in school now. It's so cute when you start to see kids try to figure things out and work out situations in their heads. I miss you guys a whole lot. I can't believe how grown up and beautiful they ALL are. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO ~Amy

I love Kayla's school outfit! I love the necklace and the sparkly shoes!! It is so hard to believe that she is as old as she is! I remember waiting to hear that she had been born - the first Logsdon grandchild (and only girl still!). That seems like forever ago. And now she and Isaac are both in school? That is just crazy. I sure do miss you guys. It has been forever since we have seen you at all!!

Love you.

Chauntel, I did not know you were in TX, although I am sure someone said it. Your family is wonderful. I am shocked though. This reminds me of you and your sisters when you were young. I still remember you playing HS softball in Kennewick. A long time ago. We are in San Angelo, about 250 miles SW of you, in the middle of nowhere. Our youngest son Tyler with his wife and 3 children are here, and our youngest daughter, Stacey, is in school is Austin. We should have a TX family reunion at Uncle Paul's place in Keller TX. Our love to you, Uncle Ren.
