Just a short post

The kids got into our Halloween Box and now Makayla has the sister she's always wanted
Girls watch out this little DEVILS smile can really melt a girls heart
She is always trying to trick us and make us laugh

I think, I need a journal so I don't feel the need to bore everyone with the intimate details of my life. But here it goes.

It's spring break so I'm trying my best to keep the kids out and about and busy. We've gone camping, to the park with friends, to the jump house, to "Horton Hears a Who", and now Jeremy is going out of town for two nights, so I might have to bring out all the stops to keep them busy and me sane. My house is really taking a beating. I don't know how I'm going to keep up with the cooking and cleaning during the summer. The kids are everywhere and into everything and it looks like a tornado hit McKinney.

I love my new pot rack Jeremy installed and I love my new pots they are gorgeous and they cook so good or maybe it's my cooking that's so great:)

Jackson is 25 months old and today got weighed in at 22lbs 5oz. One of his friends is 24 months and 32 pounds!!!! but I think the doctor has stopped worrying for now and I am through with doctor appointment for him.

I can't believe Easter is almost here. I'm not even ready. It kind of snuck up on me. I just got Makayla an Easter dress tonight:) I let her come and help pick it out. It was a lot of fun. It's so hard to find dresses with sleeves though.

Makayla and I are really into reading at night together. I've been reading Junie B. Jones books, Matilda, and Freckle Juice etc. It is so much fun. I told Jeremy he'd have to forgive me for staying in her room a little later at night because I love it so much. We've been going to the library and it brings back all these memories of Beverly Clearly, Choose your own adventures, Sweet Valley High Twins, and Box Car Children. I have a lot of fond memories of my mom reading to us at night from "Box Car Children" and "Indian in the Cupboard." Isaac is so upset that Makayla gets to check out chapter books and he doesn't. I know there's no way he'd make it through one page with no pictures. Maybe I'll let him check out a big boy chapter book next library trip.

Makayla is going to try out for the school talent show. She informed us last week that try outs are coming up and she wants to tell jokes. Which I think is so cute and so we're going to try and help her get ready for that.

Isaac and I bond too at night for bedtime. We sing songs and then fart and blame it on Mom.

I enjoy hearing the details of your life! You guys have done a ton of stuff for spring break! We have just been letting the kids stay up late, eating out (because my kitchen is still not functional) and we did see horton hears a hoo. Where's Jeremy going?? Have fun!

Jeremy is going camping with the scouts. Maybe it will rain and he'll have to come home early:) I totally feel your pain, about you kitchen not being done. It's the center of the home, for sure.

That is too cute. I just emailed you over some jokes. Make sure you ask mom. She is full of them.

Let me know how it goes with her try-outs!

We love to hear about your family. We are going to take the boys to see horton hears a woo it will be Eli's first theater movie. I'm a little worried.
I think Eli weighs about 25 or 26 lbs and they are just 9 months apart so sounds like Jackson is doing well.

Here's a joke for you, it's Anna's favorite:

Knock, Knock.
Who's there?
Boo who?
Don't cry! It's only a joke!

Yeah, I know it's cheesy, but my kids love it.

How brave of Makayla! She will be a hit. Abby did the same thing with the easter egg yesterday and the day before she did it with water bottles.
