Christmas early at the Logsdons'

We opened presents early this year (as usual) because we leave tomorrow for WA. Santa will still come to WA, but all other gifts have been opened. Makayla is in love with her new roller skates. Jackson can't leave his new football game alone and Isaac could couldn't care less about his new bike, because he's too busy drawing with his new HOW TO DRAW book. I'm equally in love with my gift. Jeremy got me a new computer!!!!!!!! All Jeremy got was some lousy books from me:( Every year he out does me by a mile. Maybe one year I'll just totally surprise him with something amazing. I love you babe.

Cowboy Up

Hey there cowboy, it that fruit of the loom's you're wearing?
Jackson's been wearing these boot around a lot lately.

Makayla got a new dress for Christmas. I thought she looked absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!

face paintig and bowling

Last Saturday we took the kids bowling. It was so fun. Isaac beat everybody. He broke 100 (with bumpers of course) However Jackson several times didn't need the bumpers. He was able to get his going down the middle of the alley without them. We had a lot of fun watching the kids get excited about bowling. After bowling we went to CiCi's pizza (because mom loves the Cinnamon rolls -yummy)
At CiCi's they had a lady practicing face painting which normal we would never pay for something like that, but she was not having a whole lot of customers. Isaac was a teenage mutant ninja turtle, Jackson was a puppy (so of course he walked everywhere on all fours the rest of the day), and Makayla was just beautiful.

Ugliest Sweater Contest

Can you believe I didn't win:) Well there was some pretty ugly sweaters at the Young Women's Christmas party.

I bought my sweater at a Thrift store. After I washed it and put it on, I understood why some women choose to wear holiday sweaters. It's kind of fun and the kids think it's great. I did get a few double takes and one girl even asked me if I was having a ugly sweater contest, because that didn't look like me. I'm so glad it doesn't look like my style or I'd be a little worried about my fashion sense.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!

About a week ago it snowed here. It didn't really stick, but it was so fun to see it snowing. The kids went crazy. They loved it. I was so beautiful to watch the snow fall (especially from inside my warm and cozy home)

Our trip home

I forgot to mention that on our trip home we tried to have a little fun with the kid so we stopped at this slide (flume?) in KY. It was sooo fun the kids loved it. We rode a chair lift up the hill and then rode the sleds down. I'm so proud of Makayla. She was really scared, but ended up doing it anyways:)

Brothers and Texoma

Isaac and Jackson are becoming quite the force to be reckoned with. By themselves, they each demand a certain degree of your attention that, if not given, utlimately creates a catastrophe that could (and have) involve paint, nakedness streaking down the street, and butcher knives to open go-gurts. They are also becoming best buds; somewhat of a dynamic duo. It is great to see them play football, do karate, or wrestle in the front room. Jackson hates to be left out of "big boy" stuff. He has to be right there doing whatever Kayla and Isaac are doing. He is fearless in trying anything once. "If they can do it, I can do it" seems to be his motto.
Isaac and Kayla are great about including him in whatever they are doing and Kayla is especially helpful as a big sister with whatever Jackson needs. He is still the baby of the family and I think that with his early challenges, Kayla and Isaac truly have a soft spot for him.
These pictures are from our hike last month again at Lake Texoma. We went last year and it was just as fun this year again. Isaac and Jackson got in the lake to build some great sand piles. One of them is the tail end of a snake that we saw that was warming on the rocks. That cut our cliff jumping time short once we saw him. He was at least 4 feet long. Uncle Dusty, can tell what kind of snake it is by his butt?

Kentucky Park

Jeremy took the kids to the park with Mike and Charla (jeremy's brother and sister in law) while Jackson and I were at the doctors. Jackson had an ear infection:( Isaac gave Evan a piggy back ride until he dropped him.

Great Grandma Logsdon

Great Grandma Logsdon is still alive and kicking:) We went over to Grandma Logsdons to visit. It was nice for the kids to see her.

Grammy's preschool class

We went to Grammy's class and surprised her at work. It was a lot of fun for the kids to see what Grammy does for work. Grammy is such a wonderful teacher and blesses the lives of so many kids.

Bounce houses are always the bomb

We went to a birthday party in Ky, but missed the bouncing part because we were running late. The kids were pretty bummed so we took them back the next day during open play time. Bounce Houses are always the bomb.

Uncle Mike had the hook up

Jeremy's brother's boss has a beautiful vacation home on some land with a pond. The boys were able to go fishing. Jackson caught his first fish and Isaac caught one that got away with his bobbin and line.

The home was beautiful. It had a pool, stocked pond, hot tub, and pool table. etc...

Hunting on the Farm

Hunting season ran a little later into the year so Jeremy was able to head down to the Farm with his lifelong best friend Matt and do alittle hunting.

Memphis, TN

We visited BB King's and Graceland. Graceland hadn't opened yet:( maybe next time:)

HELP JT OUT!!!!

I don't think, well - I'm sure, that none of you know my good friend JT Henderson. Although JT and I haven't spoken in probably 10 years or so, he is truly a great guy. We worked together at UPS back in the day and I always loved to work with him and play ball after work. Those Waffle House trips at 4 am were pretty awesome as well. I think he still owes me $8 from one of those. Maybe I owe him.

Anyways, please visit www.5millionminus1.blogspot.com . Him and his wife are selling hand painted Christmas ornaments to raise money to bring home a child they have adopted in Ethiopia. HOOK THEM UP!!! I haven't met his wife, but I know the kind of person that JT is, and their child will be blessed to be in their home. The ornaments are $5 - so order as many as you can.

Plus, I don't know someone else that enjoys Tommy Boy as much as I do than JT.

more sleeping arrangments

I'm so excited for thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't believe it's just around the corner. I'm itching to put up my new Christmas Tree:) and all the other fun things I bought on clearance after Christmas last year!!!

All the kids want to sleep in the same room. No one wants to be a lone. I think tonight we're going to put the bunk beds in Isaac's room. There will be three bed in there then and they all can sleep together and still have their own beds. We'll see how that goes. It means we'll have an extra room. Maybe we'll make it into a guestroom, or craft (sewing) room, or weight room, etc...... the possibilities are endless.

New Floors!

Tuesday our living room floors got replaced. Amazing how our toilet flooding has turned out great:) Now hopefully we can take good care of these floors. Our bedroom and closet are still yucky cement floors. They'll be replaced in a few weeks. The carpet we pick is on back order.

HaLlOwEeN

I love, love, love Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. I had so much fun making Jackson's costume this year. If you haven't heard Jackson is obsessed with hot air balloons. So when I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween, he said a hot air balloon. I was thinking "A WHAT?"

Anyways it turned out O.K. it was a little wobbly all night but he loved it. He didn't want to take it off and asked if he could wear it inside. He made out like a bandit. When people saw him they loaded him up with candy.

Makayla was a southern bell zombie, and Isaac was a ninja.

Makayla thinks her candy is going to last all year, but she forgot about the mommy factor. Oops. Maybe this year I'll control myself a little better.

career day

Today at school was career day. As you can see, they dressed up like dad:) Awhile back I made them Preventive Pest Control work shirts. They haven't really worn them, so it was fun that they wanted to be like dad. Makayla wore a pair of Isaac's pants:) They even have flash lights on their belts like dad. Dad even drove them to school. How fun it that?!

preschool halloween party

Jackson's preschool group had a Halloween party for the Letter "H" this week. They were able to dress up. I'm not completely done with his Halloween costume and I didn't want it to get ruined, so he went through our Halloween box and wanted to be a doggy. He was so cute. He was acting like a dog all morning. If you all remember, he went for around for about a year or so crawling like a dog and acting like a dog (doctor's, grocery store, church, etc.)
