I have to say with school starting, my new calling, and Jeremy's new calling I feel like life is crazy one minute and too slow the next. Jackson and I are loving our time together. I love having him home with me all day by ourselves. I have him home for three years. I think we're going to be best buds, for the next couple of years. We go to the gym, we go shopping, we go to playgroup, and on bike rides. It's so wonderful. I guess that's what it would be like to just have one. Jackson is so sweet, however he is getting Isaac's little temper. He got put in time out at the gym two days in a row and has been hitting in nursery at church the last two weeks. When I try to give him the business he just smiles, hugs me, and says "sorry mom sorry". I don't know how to show him how serious I am. He so darn adorable.

Ahhh, the Bus Stop
The Bus Stop. It brings back a lot of memories. I can remember days at the bus stop with Jason down on Peach tree Ave. There was this tree that would shed some pine cone type things and we'd play baseball in the street until the bus would come. The greatest days were when the bus wouldn't show up for an hour or more. It was always great walking into school really late - OR EVEN BETTER was when there was a substitute bus driver that didn't know the route. This one time the sub. driver was counting on us to tell them where to go, and we took her to places we or her had never seen. We just kept saying, "Yeah, go left. Another left. Now go for like 10 minutes." It was great.
So Chauntel thought it would be so great if the kids would ride the bus that comes just down the street to school so she wouldn't have to take them anymore. Isaac was down with it from the get go. Chauntel took him the bus stop, he just hopped on without looking back. Kayla, no way. So after a few days of Isaac telling Kayla how cool it was riding the bus, she finally said she would. So the first few pictures are of us excited at the bus stop. Kayla was all smiles and excited too. Then the bus came. Isaac, the man of all men, just hopped on. Kayla clung to Chauntel like Uncle Mike to a grilled cheese. (Either Uncle Mike) So in an effort to not let this opportunity pass, I grabbed Kayla's little hand and gently persuaded her to get on the bus all the while she was pulling away telling me "NO! NO!". I got her on and she found Isaac and dove into his seat with him. The bus was full of kids and some were asking if this was her first time on the bus. I told them that it was and that everyone should say "Welcome Makayla" and in unison they all welcomed her. It was great. The joys of the bus will now be passed on to my kids. The days ahead of rude jokes, learning things that they never would have at home, hearing words that are only on the movies; wait a minute. I'll probably regret this day when at the dinner table I hear "Is #%!@ a bad word?" (Melissa)

Logsdon High (and low) lights
So Isaac's baseball season is in full swing. Since he was 1 1/2 all I've ever done is pitch to him to hit. He's never hit off a tee. Hitting he has down. He's hit some big ones already this season - 2 last game. In his league, the kids get 5 swings. The first 3 or 4 the coach pitches to them and then if they don't hit, they hit off a tee. What I've realized is that I haven't really gone over the rules of the game. Rules of basball, Isaac does not have down. As Isaac was running from 2nd to third base the other night, he began to run like a rabbit. A FREAKIN' RABBIT!! I couldn't believe it. So the big black dude coaching third base told him not to run like a rabbit when he ran home on the next hit. He didn't. HE RAN WITH HIS ARMS ABOVE HIS HEAD LIKE A MONSTER. It was the last out of the game. As the coach had the team together telling them what a good job they did, the 2nd picture is of me asking my kid why he felt as if running like a rabbit was appropriate at that time. I further told him how happy I was the the family's last name was not on the back of his shirt. My wife reminded me that she's also glad that I don't walk around with our last name on my shirts throughout the day as well.
This last game was ALOT better. 2 good hits (one was a sticker hit- coach awards the kids who hit one in the grass with a sticker to go on their helmet - Isaac has 2 now.) He also ran fast on the bases.
Jackson kicks it in his car seat like that all the time. I love it.
I think Makayla is the prettiest girl in the world in her "natural" moments. I love the wind blowing her hair and her just being her.
Jackson kicking it - highlight
Kayla being naturally pretty - highlight
Isaac running like a rabbit - lowlight

Our computer was out of commission for a week, so I guess I'm catching up.
We made our front formal dining room into a office. It will be so fun to decorate now that we have a plan.

Baseball!!!
I love watching Isaac play baseball. After his first game he said "THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN" He never said that about soccer. Jeremy and I are both a little partial to baseball given our background. He's on the Athletics. He has a game tonight!!!!
He first game we totally missed. We thought it was at 7, but it was really at 6. We got there when his team was in the parking lot. I felt so stupid. Isaac was totally bummed until he saw the playground.

Happy Birthday Makayla
We took Makayla to Libby Lu for her Birthday. She had so much fun. I almost cry because it was so fun to watch. I think that would be such a fun job.

WAKEE WAKEE MR JEREMY (Alex) WAKE UP!
(another quote from a cartoon-Madagascar)
I'm so excited for my husband. Tomorrow morning is his first official day of his new calling. Jeremy is the new 5:45 a.m. seminary teacher! I couldn't be happier or more excited for him. I know it's going to be a challenge to get the kids awake, on time, and to pay attention. If anyone can do it, Jeremy's the man. He is a born entertainer, teacher, speaker, etc. From the first days of our marriage, I knew he was meant to teach the gospel. Especially to the youth. I've always been able to picture him as a seminary teacher, CES speaker, EFY speaker, or some sort of gospel motivator. I love him so much and know he will do so good. Now if only we both can get to bed early:)

My baby all grown up and off to fight in a war
I think that's a quote from MULAN. But maybe not. So, Isaac and Makayla are off to school. I feel like the summer went by way too fast and that Isaac is simply still my baby and not old enough to be a kindergartner. I had a harder time leaving him than I did Makayla last year. It might be because Makayla was almost a year older when she started kindergarten or maybe it's because she is a girl and more mature. Maybe it's because she was my first and got so much of my attention and one on one teaching. (or maybe I just love him more J/K) Anyways, I teared out leaving him Monday morning and I teared up at lunch when I went up to the school to eat lunch with them both, and than I really teared up when I was driving away at lunch and happened to catch his class running out to recess. Oh he is soooo cute.
Monday morning he was pretty quiet and than started asking Makayla little questions like "will I get to sit by you sissy?" "Makayla, where will I put my backpack and lunch?" etc. It was so cute. You could see his little brain trying to figure out how the day was going to go and realizing he didn't quite know what to do.
I'm home now with just Jackson. It's so great. I'd better start keeping my house cleaner than it was this summer. ugh it was so hard to keep up with all my munchkinz this summer.
Isaac has his first baseball practice tomorrow. I'm so excited for games to start. I'm a little nervous. He has two games a week and than one practice a week that's a lot of baseball. And trying to keep up with homework for two kids now.
I'm going to try and find an art class to put Makayla is this fall. She has a little friend that wants to do one too. So, maybe we can carpool:)

i feel like i've had this dream already
my sweet baby (not so baby anymore) is having more problems with his cute little head. the night i cut his hair, i noticed that it felt a little swollen. when i got up the next day, i thought it might have been a dream (nightmare) so, i checked his head again. sure enough, it was swollen. today jeremy and i took him to dr. barcello. his head surgeon. he asked me to watch it for a week or two and see if it gets bigger. if it does, then we'll do a ct scan. if it does, than we'll keep watching it and maybe it will go away.
so lets all pray that it goes away. i don't want him to have to go through that again. as he get older it worries me that he'll be scared of doctors for the rest of his life.
monday jeremy and i are taking the kids to the dentist for the first time. i know it's way over due. we didn't have dental for awhile and then when we got it, i kept putting it off. if you know my freaked out kids, you'd understand why. they are so scared to do anything and just the mention of the dentist sends them into fits. so wish me luck. i'll let you know how it goes.
I finished BREAKING DAWN on sunday. it was such a prefect ending to the series. I thought she did a really good job. i'm excited for the movie. it looks really good.
let the count down to school start. the kids go back in one week (25th) i'm so sad and so excited and so nervous and so thrilled and so anxious.

Everyones getting haircuts
Lets take a vote. I need everyone to be honest and tell me which hair do you like better, on Jackson. I just cut his hair yesterday. It was getting pretty long. His hair is getting thicker. Which means he can get away with shorter hair and still not see the scar on his head.

Six and a half inches
today i cut makayla's hair. i took 6 1/2 inches off. she wanted it shorter, but it needs to be able to go in a pony tail. she's really been fighting me all summer about brushing and doing her hair. i guess i was sick of the long messy mop. so she convinced me to cute it. she looks cute. i tried to call jeremy before we cut it but he didn't answer. suprise jeremy, i hope you like it.

GRAMMY WAS HERE
Grammy was here this last week. It was so much fun having her down here - the kids especially LOVE having any of their family down, and they think the world of their Grammy. My birthday just happened to be while Grammy was here, so Chauntel hooked it up for us to go to the Frisco Rough Riders baseball game for my birthday. it was a blast and I got a baseball during the game (of course when Chauntel was with the kids at the bathroom. At least Jackson and Grammy can vouch for me)
I worked all week, but got reports of all the stuff they did while I was gone. One of the things that Kaylagirl and Isaac did this week was get their first piano lessons! Makayla especially loved it. Isaac went along with it, and actually paid attention and was trying really hard. Makayla loves to learn anything new and having Grammy teach her was even better. She practiced all week (all on her own) and even set up a practice schedule reminding us that she needs to practice as soon as she wakes up so she doesn't forget what she learned the day before.
The other picture of her is of her birthday party that she went to today. It was a Hannah Montana party, so dressed up and went. We asked her how it went when she got home and she said that they didn't know who she was for a bit and then the girl said, "Makayla, is that you?" We thought she looked sooo cute.
I got a new guitar for my birthday-pics to come later;
Chauntel and Mom went with a group and went to Barnes and Noble at midnight to get the new Twilight book. I'm sure she'll want to say some about it- so I'll let her later.

The Latest Happenings
Just thought I'd add a few pictures of the kids. Isaac somehow got the basket he holds all of his superheroes in stuck on his arms. He was pretty upset I grabbed the camera first before I helped get his arms out. I just figured he wasn't going to die from it, so a picture would be pretty good.
Check out Jackson's form on his fastball. As we said before, he will outplay anybody outside. Every time when I tell him I'm done, he always says, "One more."
One of Makayla's things nowadays besides stealing money from whoever whenever, taking Chauntel's makeup and putting it on; then in her purse, and being a Mini-Mom to Jackson all the time (changes his wet diapers too) is taking pictures. She loves to take pictures of whatever, but especially herself. Her and Aunt Jillian should hang out. I don't think that either of them can think of a more interesting person than themself.

THAT'S SO 70'S
Jeremy and I went to a 70's party last night. Jeremy was by far the best dressed hunk there. Everyone loved his costume. We got all our stuff at the good will. Except his mustache. He got that at a magic store.
We went to Target before the party and got a lot of snickers and stares.
I spray painted our shoes white. They looked so hot. However the second step I took in mine the heal completely broke off. So my outfit was pretty lame without the white boots.

YaH mAkAyLa and iSaAc CaN rIdE a BiKe!!!!
It's been awhile since I've blogged. Sorry. We went to our great friend's the Carter's home for the 4th of July. We had so much fun. Isaac and Makayla saw Audrey riding her bike and both decided to try. Yahh!!!! I've been trying to get them to just try for awhile now.
So we bought Isaac a $15 bike on Craig's list. Makayla loves riding it (her bike has a flat) but Isaac (even though he knows how) isn't too confident about riding. We have to force him to practice. He didn't even want a new bike, but it was high time to go up a size.

I was running and I couldn't stop
Last night, about 15 minutes after getting home from church, Isaac was chasing the baby, who was running with Isaac's balloon. Then he said "I was running and I couldn't stop, I want to pop that balloon!"
So, I called Jeremy and he met me at an urgant care facility, where Isaac was so brave and got a lot of stitches. Jeremy said it was so bad they had to stitch up the inner layer of skin and then the outer. The doctor said he'd have a pretty huge scar. This one is so much bigger than all of his others combined. No swimming for a week which is a total bummer. He has swim lessons all week and we go swimming everyday. So this week I'll have to get creative.

Batting Cages!!!
One of the businesses that I service is a batting cage in a warehouse in Prosper, TX. In one of the nets to hit in, you can rent a pitching machine that you feed the balls in individually and can put it at whatever speed you want. They give you 2 buckets of baseballs and you rent it for 1/2 hour. I told Isaac that I'd take him about a month ago and he has asked me almost everyday since then. Friday was the day. The night before he asked me, "Dad, will you PLEASE take me to the batting cages tomorrow?" I told him that I'd try my best to get home early so we could go. He told me to make sure I went to work early so I could get home early. I came home early and the whole family went. It was a blast. I was so proud of Isaac and Makayla. I set the machine for 25 mph and started feeding the baseballs in and he just started hitting. He's got such a good eye for the ball. The guy that owns it was doing a private hitting lesson in the net next to us and during his lesson, he was telling Isaac how good of a hitter he was. Every time after that that Isaac would get a hit, he would look over to the "coach" and see if he was watching. It was great. The "coach" even came over and showed Isaac how to hold his bat and gave him some more hitting tips. He loved it.
Makayla then got in there and after a bit of practice, started hitting the balls too. She's left handed, so it's neat watching her hit. It was all we could do to keep Jackson out of the cage. If we would've let him, he'd have got right in there and tried hitting off the machine too. I brought him in and pitched some to him too. He had his helmet on and a wrist band that I put on him at the house. Chauntel put a baseball shirt on him before we left, so he was all ready.
Last but not least, coach also noticed the blonde hottie in the cage smacking the baseballs before we left. Chauntel was killin' it in the cages. "Coach" said, "Man, that girl can hit!" after she ripped a few fastballs. I said that she was a good kisser too.
All in all it was a fun Logsdon outing topped off with a popsicle on the way home.

Yoga
When we went home to Washington, Makayla saw a doctor there who said she needs to practice deep breathing (for stress relief) and strecthing. So we bought her a yoga mat, outfit, and DVD. We've only done it three times but she does good and complains a lot less than when I was making her do deep breathing and strecthing in her bedroom before bed (she hated that) She seems to really enjoy it. I told her if she does really good, and consistantly, I'd get her a pink yoga mat.

New Piano
We gave our old piano away on craig's list. I thought it would be a great day, but I was so sad to see it go. I thought it was so beautiful. With that said, now that we have a new one I'm O.K. I'm so in love with our new (used) piano. I think it's so beautiful. It seems so much smaller than our last one. Now I have to figure out how we're going to decorate and furnish our front rooms:) It's such a slow process for me.
